The Albemarle County Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced attorney to join its dedicated team of legal professionals. Beautiful Albemarle County is one of the most attractive and desirable locations in Virginia, with excellent schools and a wide range of cultural, historic, and recreational activities. The successful applicant will have: (1) a degree from an accredited law school and Virginia State Bar membership; (2) at least six years’ experience as a practicing attorney, largely in the practice of local government law (or at least two years’ experience for the Assistant County Attorney position); and (3) experience or demonstrated competency in civil litigation. Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of economic development and/or conservation easements is preferred. Virginia residency is required upon employment.
