About The Position

Responsible for the execution of business and operational activities related to the HVAC asset class.

Advanced individual contributor in a professional role. Works independently, with limited oversight, however, work is typically approved upon completion. Recognized as a subject matter expert who demonstrates mastery in applying theories, principles, concepts, and methodologies to devise innovative solutions to complex problems. Guides the development of policies, processes, and procedures in area of expertise. Majority of work efforts are spent managing large projects and/or processes.

Coaches, directs, oversees, and/or reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or additional role-relevant experience. 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in engineering, facilities maintenance, or related fields, including proven experience managing technical assets.
• Extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of installation, operation, and maintenance of a specific asset class
• Extensive knowledge of capital and expense planning, budgeting, expense tracking, and return on investment calculations
• Deep analytical and proficient project management skills and the ability to plan multi-disciplinary projects
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Advanced negotiating and influencing skills to promote internal and external initiatives
• A related engineering or trade school degree, or relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Mentors' other asset managers and cultivates technical and business expertise. Develops best practices guides for a specific asset class
• Directs diagnostic and troubleshooting activities for chronically troubled assets
• Plans and executes expense-reducing asset capital programs independently or with partnership from Engineering, Construction, and Facility Management teams
• Defines asset and maintenance key performance indicators and dashboard development strategies
• Analyzes and maintains financial metrics for asset inventory
