About The Position

The Senior Art Director at alice and olivia will serve as a creative visionary responsible for enhancing the company's brand image and storytelling capabilities. This role involves overseeing art direction, graphic design, and content creation while collaborating closely with the founder and other key stakeholders. The position is pivotal in executing effective and strategically creative projects across various platforms, ensuring a consistent and elevated brand presence.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of in-house Art direction experience with exposure to brand strategy, digital marketing materials, visual design, and merchandising.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing creative individuals.
  • Robust network of photographers, stylists, producers, agencies, and freelancers.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve their best work.
  • Capacity to make crucial creative decisions in a timely manner as a composed leader.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of digital, social, PR, experiential, and emerging platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Hold ownership over the look-and-feel, tone and manner of creative projects, ensuring consistent execution across all brand contact points.
  • Own the development of concepts for photoshoot campaigns from concept to final implementation.
  • Work in tandem with the CEO and VP of Global Visuals to align and set priorities for team projects and goals.
  • Support the internal creative department by delivering innovative campaigns and creative platforms with a solid creative strategy.
  • Establish strategic creative solutions and develop a holistic consumer journey across multiple platforms.
  • Manage a team of direct reports, freelance support, and agency partners.
  • Provide direction for design and branding teams, including creative tools.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director of Creative Operations and production teams to schedule and staff studio e-commerce shoots and special projects.
  • Motivate, inspire, and lead a robust team of creatives.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader that drives quality and fosters a culture of innovation.
  • Develop visual standards/codes including art direction, tone and manner, graphics, typography, and video content.
  • Expand and refine the visual experience of the brand while maintaining core identity in video content across social media.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
