Sodexo is seeking a Senior Area General Manager for Marin Health located in Greenbrae, CA. MarinHealth Medical Center, formerly known as Marin General Hospital, is a nonprofit district hospital and Level III Trauma Center in Greenbrae, California. The hospital is owned by the Marin Healthcare District, a public agency, and operated by the nonprofit MarinHealth system. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospital environmental services operations, a polished and professional presentation, a dynamic and engaging demeanor, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

  • experience leading, developing and motivating a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
  • expertise in building and maintaining strong customer / client relationships
  • strong leadership skills, working independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment
  • ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management
  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • proficiency with computers and other technology
  • experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations
  • strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 5 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services

Responsibilities

  • provide exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director and other key members of hospital leadership
  • effectively manage the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce
