About The Position

Sr. Area Executive Chef – The Good Eating Company | Mountain View, CA Step into the future of food with The Good Eating Company at the Silicon Valley headquarters of a global tech firm. In this high-profile role, you’ll ditch the corporate handbook for a "scratch-only" kitchen where seasonal, local ingredients take center stage. You will oversee a vibrant upscale café, high-end executive catering, and high-tech micro-kitchens across the corporate campus. Because the food is complimentary for all employees, your focus isn't on the bottom line—it’s on culinary excellence and delivering a "best-in-class" hospitality experience that powers the world’s brightest innovators. You will lead our culinary program and mentor a high-performing team, including three Executive Chefs, a Purchasing Manager, and 35 culinary professionals. We are looking for a hands-on leader who lives for the "farm-to-table" ethos and thrives on building a culture of teamwork and sustainability. If you are passionate about growing a premier culinary program within a cutting-edge tech environment, we want you at the head of our table to help us shape the future of how people eat. • The Trendsetter: You don’t just follow food trends; you anticipate them. From fermentation to global street food, you bring "what’s next" to the table, ensuring our menus stay at the cutting edge.
  • The Agile Leader: You master both the art and business of food. You are just as comfortable analyzing a P&L statement as you are coaching a chef on a perfect sear.
  • The Mentor: A natural communicator and coach, you lead with a hands-on approach. You motivate your team to master new techniques and foster a culture of elite culinary excellence.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Culinary Oversight: You will lead our culinary strategy—from sourcing peak-season ingredients to managing precision inventory and food costs. Using expert forecasting, you’ll ensure our "scratch-only" production matches the high-tech accuracy of the AI developed on campus.

  • Lead with Innovation: Our client is a world leader in tech and expects a "best-in-class" experience. You’ll be an early technology adopter, staying ahead of the curve and obsessed with "what’s next" in the global culinary space.
  • Empower the Team: You will mentor a large, diverse team, motivating them to master bold ethnic dishes and authentic regional cuisines that reflect a modern, worldly workforce.
  • Operational Systems Expert: You will seamlessly navigate digital inventory and management systems while maintaining gold-standard food safety and workplace sanitation.
