About The Position

The Digital Business Enablement team is responsible for partnering with our business stakeholders to deliver optimized processes, systems, and data capabilities to grow our business. These solutions provided by Digital Business Enablement are the core of our user's experience engaging with Bentley internally and externally. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Architect to drive our web technology and support delivery of exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and building complex, scalable, and high-performance web applications. They will have extensive experience in Adobe Experience Manager and Commerce (Magento), with a deep understanding of the technologies and best practices that drive success in these areas. The candidate will be a thought leader, able to work with designers and bring world class experiences to life through leading practice technology. They will also be critical in setting standards and guiding teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in web development and architecture with at least 5 years of experience in a senior or lead architect role.
  • Proven experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Commerce and headless solution architectures within global, multi-site setups.
  • Expertise in modern web technologies, including PHP/GraphQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Strong experience with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, .NET) and cloud environments (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with DevOps standards such as Adobe Cloud Manager, Git, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe Master certification as either AEM Sites Architect or Adobe Commerce Architect considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the overall system architectural vision and roadmap for all web properties, including core web CMS (Adobe AEM), commerce (Adobe Commerce) and other web properties, such as integration points to support (ServiceNow).
  • Design and document scalable and resilient web architectures that meet current and future business needs, including integration patterns and data between involved systems and reporting.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to understand requirements, integration points, data flows and translate them into technical designs.
  • Partner with design and content teams to develop component based reusable structures to streamline delivering designs, content and systemic updates.
  • Be hands on in driving the development and implementation of designed web solutions and integrations across enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, DAM, CDP).
  • Set development standards including API leverage, automated code verification, performance testing caching techniques, security and code management processes to be used by the development teams to ensure quality of development, testing and deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to web development teams to foster a learning environment while delivering development to industry leading standards.
  • Point of contact for web applications issue escalation and resolution.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all solutions.
