Manages systems professionals directly or through subordinate managers and offer leadership, coaching, and training. Possesses extensive experience performing Systems Integration and Design across multiple IT disciplines to include on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Manages a medium-to-large team or department focused on multiple IT areas of expertise. Provide technical mentoring to the teams and team leaders. Provide guidance on the implementation details for specific projects, possibly take on responsibility for certain deliverables, etc. Help provide direction and guidance for the technical aspects of deliverables such as the service catalog, helping to shape technical responses to task orders and ECP’s, etc. Need to be able to maintain a team environment with people focused on the Mission and excited for the work. Designs systems architecture for new or existing computer systems across diverse customer environments and security enclaves. Designs and engineers highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Provides critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects. Provides guidance to less experienced Systems Engineers. Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes. May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals. Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance and technical documentation.

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • CompTIA Security+CE or similar for IAT Level II
  • DoD 8570 certification
  • Background in automation of infrastructure and services
  • Experience in implementation of Zero Trust principle
  • Managing cross-team collaboration
  • Technical expertise in Infrastructure Platforms, VMware vSphere, NetApp OnTap Storage Arrays and Clusters, Juniper Switches and Routers, Cisco Firepower Firewalls, Nexus and Catalyst Switching Platforms, Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud), VDI Technologies (Citrix), Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Application Virtualization Platforms, Compute Infrastructure, Windows Server, Red Hat Linux Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Web Services, On-Premises SharePoint Architecture, Web Proxy Security Appliances, Unified Communications, Cisco Unified Communications Platforms, Cisco Jabber and Meeting Server.
  • Operational Responsibilities in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM and CMDB, Tableau Server and Desktop Applications, Configuration Management, Cyber Security, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Continuous Monitoring Tools (Tenable, Nessus), Risk Management Framework and System Accreditation.
