Your Role + The Opportunity As the Senior Architect | Project Manager , you will join the firm at either our Cincinnati, OH office and be responsible for leading the projects from design through construction and to successful completion as part of our Higher Education team. Your work will require you to have highly developed expertise in project management, architectural design, and technical knowledge. This management-level role provides the opportunity to pursue professional growth while contributing to one of the Midwest’s largest higher education design teams.

Requirements

  • A professional, accredited degree in Architecture
  • 10+ years’ experience
  • Professional registration are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and staff leadership success.
  • A drive to achieve.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience leading higher education projects and clients is highly desired.
  • Highly competent Deltek VantagePoint (or equivalent) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clients, project staff, and consultants through the project process on multiple complex projects.
  • Utilize operational management best practices, including workload forecasting, resource planning, and project management software.
  • Manage and develop project documents as per client, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control process for assigned projects.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including identifying and recruiting high-quality staff with leadership potential.
  • Create and foster relationships with key clients while managing client expectations.
  • Maintain project budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Apply interpersonal communication skills to build strong working relationships, resolve conflicts, and motivate the project team.
  • Collaborate across other disciplines with internal and external team members.
  • Promote a workplace culture that is consistent with BHDP’s Collective Ambition.
