With thirteen office locations in five states, the communities we serve are the same places we proudly call home. This is a key role in a growing service segment of our firm. The successful candidate will enjoy the flexibility to create their day-to-day schedules and fully develop this role within our team. Projects, both local and non-local, will be mobilized from our Ankeny, Iowa office and include tasks such as communication between team sectors, project planning, and management, supervising cultural resource inventories, assisting in compliance with various cultural resource-related laws and regulations, and writing and reviewing reports. A successful applicant will be independently motivated and organized.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, or higher, in Archaeology or a closely related field.
  • 6 years of archaeological consulting or agency experience in the Midwest
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience independently preparing complex technical documents for various cultural resources projects.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple projects at the same time.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to perform field tasks and oversight.
  • Must be knowledgeable of federal cultural resources regulations and midwestern US state regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Professional Archaeologist preferred.
