  • Ensure that all aquatic life in the PCC are receiving appropriate care by adhering to all operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete all aquatic maintenance, assess and address aquatic life health and conditions (e.g. medicate, water change, remove from sale, etc.), and create Companion Animal Incident Reports as needed.
  • Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise and educate other PCC partners in aquatic care and maintenance.
  • Effectively place aquatic life orders and special-order requests to maximize sales and inventory to meet customer’s needs.
  • Act as primary resource, utilizing our selling model to support guests and other PCC partners regarding all aquatic education and care.
  • Participate in the completion of all aquatic life physical inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the CAL to analyze department inventory management data, CAPI results, and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Ensure aquatic life and merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed to create a great presentation for our guests.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as aquarium system maintenance, sweeping/mopping the floors, dusting, etc.
  • Accurately complete required digital paperwork (e.g., water test results, receiving POs, etc.) in a timely manner within the aquatic department.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as required or assigned with or without regular supervision.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with and/or caring for freshwater and marine aquatic life.
  • High level of knowledge of aquatic life and an aptitude for sales techniques.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a keen and genuine interest in animals and their care.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Certification in aquatic life care.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships.
