About The Position
We are an innovative team of scientists who use machine learning and statistical techniques to create state-of-the-art solutions for providing better shopping experience for Amazon's customers. We are looking for an experienced Applied Scientist to help design, build, and develop big impact models that improve customer experience. This leader will solve complex problems in one of the fastest growing segments of the Retail business, Fashion and Fitness (Apparel, Shoes, Jewelry, Watches, Luggage, Sports and Outdoors). A successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an individual who strives to answer business/operational questions and who works across functional boundaries. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, with a passion for innovation. You will build and deploy advanced algorithmic systems that help optimize millions of transactions every day. You will own end-to-end business problems/metrics and directly impact the profitability and growth of the company.
