The Senior Application Scientist is responsible for providing expert scientific support to both customers and internal teams, leading product and workflow demonstrations that drive customer success and generate new business opportunities. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Pharma and BioPharma Quant and is part of the Global Strategic Marketing Organization located in Marlborough, Boston and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful customer demonstrations of SCIEX products and high-throughput workflows, provide on-site training and ongoing support to ensure product efficiency and customer satisfaction, partner with business and sales teams to identify growth opportunities and prioritize key application areas aligned with customer needs, develop complete analytical solutions, including sample prep, method development, and reporting, collaborate across regions to expand the application portfolio, and contribute to product development by helping define and test new hardware and software across nominal and accurate mass platforms. You will also stay engaged with the scientific community through conferences, seminars, and training programs to remain current and share insights.

  • Deliver impactful customer demonstrations of SCIEX products and high-throughput workflows.
  • Provide on-site training and ongoing support to ensure product efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with business and sales teams to identify growth opportunities and prioritize key application areas aligned with customer needs.
  • Develop complete analytical solutions, including sample prep, method development, and reporting.
  • Collaborate across regions to expand the application portfolio.
  • Contribute to product development by helping define and test new hardware and software across nominal and accurate mass platforms.
  • Stay engaged with the scientific community through conferences, seminars, and training programs.
  • Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related life sciences field.
  • 5+ years of experience with mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography analytical techniques.
  • Strong understanding of method development and troubleshooting for LC-MS/MS methods.
  • Ability to present scientific data clearly to diverse audiences and build strong relationships with customers and internally within SCIEX.
  • Experienced with small/large molecule quantitative and qualitative applications using high-resolution mass spectrometers.
  • Using SCIEX instrumentation and software.
  • Hands-on expertise with workflow automation tools and high-throughput systems.
