About The Position

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by working with Product Development, Sales and Marketing personnel to develop and replicate high impact specialty and masking tape applications for various industrial markets. You will identify the best 3M solution for an application by thoroughly understanding the customer need, testing, and analyzing results. You will communicate results to customers and through written reports and presentations, provide launch support for new product programs by generating supporting documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials, and build a deep understanding of customer needs and competition for the adhesives market, providing 'Voice of Customer,' new product ideas and competitive analysis. Additionally, you will work closely with customers to solve customer application issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or science or engineering (completed and verified prior to start).
• One (1) year of experience with automation or robotics in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Current, valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with polymers or adhesives in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Two years of experience in Application Engineering.
