We're looking for talented, driven individuals who want to grow with us. We are looking for a Senior Application Developer to join our COBOL development team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Development team to advance your technical skills and contribute to solutions that support our policyholders, producers and internal teams. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, progressive company with a strong portfolio of business applications. This position is responsible for analysis, design, development, and maintenance of small to large scale, complex projects supporting our policy administration system and related business processes. The selected individual will work within our Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) environment to code elegant and innovative solutions that drive business value in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in COBOL development
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems, design scalable solutions, and approach challenges with creativity and sound engineering judgment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions, document technical decisions, and collaborate effectively across teams
• Demonstrated initiative and ownership, with a track record of driving projects from concept to delivery with minimal oversight
• Self-starter who is highly adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment
• Reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Advanced proficiency in COBOL development on the Micro Focus Enterprise Server platform
• Experience with JCL, CICS, and batch processing environments
• Expertise in SQL Server and relational database design, including performance tuning and query optimization
• Familiarity with Visual Studio as a development environment
• Ability to collaborate with .NET development teams on cross-platform initiatives
• Experience in the insurance industry
