The Sr. Application Architect – Radiology & Cardiology is responsible for leading the strategic design, innovation and enterprise-level implementation of radiology and cardiology systems across 26+ acute care hospitals. This role defines long term architecture, standards, and technology roadmap to ensure the seamless integration scalability, and sustainability of imaging systems within the organization. It also includes addressing maintenance issues, enhancement requests, modifying applications, providing technical support, and coordinating tasks to meet deadlines. The incumbent will provide guidance for emerging technologies, enterprise imaging strategies, interoperability and data management in alignment with clinical and business objectives. Responsibilities include developing architectural frameworks, evaluating and selecting technology solutions, establishing governance for imaging applications, and driving innovation to optimize workflows, enhance data accessibility, and support advanced analytics. Additionally, this position plays a key leadership role in setting direction for application design, infrastructure alignment, security, and compliance. This role will collaborate with executive leadership, IS, clinical operations, facility resources, and vendors to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and to deliver imaging solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and patient care outcomes. The position also includes the mentoring of technical teams, establishing best practices, and leading strategic initiatives that shape the future of imaging systems. This position serves as the primary authority on radiology and cardiology architecture, ensuring integrity, reliability, and evolution of the enterprise imaging capabilities across the health system.
