About The Position

Responsible for administering records including user provisioning, deprovisioning, daily system maintenance and operations, security oversight, support, and workflow analysis. Ensures privacy and security compliance for the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across the organization. Plans, designs, implements, and manages ongoing operational activities to meet privacy and security standards and best practices for both clinical and business applications. Serves as a subject matter expert for all Epic security-related matters. Promotes adherence to IT security policies, procedures, and best practices. Analyzes business processes, workflows, and functional requirements across departments to configure, build, and test application functionality related to security. Provides technical and end-user support, database maintenance, and enhancement assistance for all Epic modules and applications. Supports internal and external audits related to Epic Security. Collaborates with the Clinical Applications team to develop, manage, and implement security controls and upgrades for Epic systems. Demonstrates strong knowledge of the “Break the Glass” protocol and the SER database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing Epic or other clinical information systems.
  • Epic Security experience and certification required.
  • Extensive understanding of operational workflows related to assigned application functionality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, management, and end users.
  • Knowledge of change management processes.
  • Working knowledge of key Epic master files such as EMP, SER, ECL, E2R, E2U, E2N, and LPR.
