About The Position
Vision Point Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer to join our team. This role is both customer-facing and technical, requiring a candidate who is adept at developing web-based applications, maintaining relational databases, and potentially developing mobile applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with clients, team members, and managers to analyze, document, and implement business processes through software solutions. The position will primarily be based at our office in Tysons, Virginia, with opportunities to work at client offices in the DC area. We are also open to considering candidates who prefer remote work. Occasional travel may be required to meet client needs and project demands. As a Senior Appian Developer, you will participate as a key member of a cross-functional consulting team responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting Business Process Management (BPM) Systems. You will manage an Appian development pod, produce design and requirements specification documents based on client interactions, build prototypes, and analyze performance metrics. Your responsibilities will also include implementing BPM processes through Appian, testing processes developed by yourself and your peers, and providing support and troubleshooting for deployed production systems, including investigating problem reports. Additionally, you will assist project teams and customer technicians with enterprise systems integration designs, such as database connections, web services, and LDAP/Active Directory integration.
