About The Position

Wilson Elser is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Appeals and Complex Motions Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal research, writing, and appellate capabilities.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York
• 10+ years of litigation and appellate experience (preferably with some federal level experience)
• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple matters simultaneously
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction on litigation and appellate matters
• Draft and argue complex motions and briefs at the trial and appellate court levels
• Appear in court for oral argument of motions and appeals
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Review and manage case files, ensuring timely progress and compliance with deadlines and client requirements
• Communicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel
