About The Position

The Senior Apparel Designer at Nike is responsible for designing innovative apparel that aligns with Nike's design ethos and philosophies. This role involves developing seasonal designs across various product types, attending fit sessions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the commercialization of products. The designer will oversee wear-testing processes, manage product costs, and prepare presentation materials to communicate design intent effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or Apparel Design.
• Two years of experience in a designer-related occupation.
• Experience in pattern making, illustration, and 3D rendering (CLO).
• Proficiency in apparel design, material/textile design, and technical design.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience in BOM creation and prototype fit comments.
• Ability to create technical drawings and specification packages.
• Experience in negotiating cost of goods and coordinating design to factory processes.
• Skill in presenting creative concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design Nike products using practical insights and knowledge of construction, trims, and materials.
• Develop concept and seasonal designs across various product types including lifestyle, performance, and gender-fluid apparel.
• Attend fit sessions to ensure high-quality product development with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with design, business, materials, and categories to ideate and problem-solve throughout the commercialization process.
• Oversee wear-testing processes and manage product costs.
• Prepare presentation materials around seasonal design narratives and frameworks.
• Support teammates and share knowledge to develop talent within the team.
• Build relationships with cross-functional members and Nike product categories.
