About The Position

Dreamwear is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company working with brands such as Danskin, Nautica, Juicy Couture, Marilyn Monroe, and Laura Ashley. We are seeking a Senior Apparel CAD & 3D Artist to join our team. 

The ideal candidate is forward thinking and passionate about creating high-quality design visuals. This role requires strong expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator, along with a curiosity and openness to exploring emerging design technologies, including AI-driven platforms that can enhance and evolve our creative workflow.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with the majority of work executed in Photoshop
• Apparel industry experience required: need an understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and digital sketching
• Keen eye for color/proportion and details; must be able to self-evaluate your own work
• Meticulous with strong organizational skills within in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CLO3D or familiarity with emerging design technologies and AI-driven platforms is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor more junior CAD Artists by managing workload distribution, reviewing output, and fostering professional growth within the team.
• Create complex flat sketches using Photoshop and Illustrator with a high level of accuracy, detail, and efficiency.
• Digitize lace and render realistic textures using a mixture of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Oversee and manage departmental projects in the absence of the Cad Manager, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are clearly communicated.
• Review and approve work completed by more junior CAD Artists to ensure consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve departmental processes, workflows, and efficiencies, including exploration of emerging design technologies.
• Provide guidance on product knowledge, rendering techniques, and problem-solving strategies.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships through clear communication, collaboration, and solution-oriented thinking.
