Job Objective: Manage and execute the strategy of moving equity and 3rd party ANS crude from the North Slope through Valdez to market. This role is responsible for all commercial activities required. Essential Job Responsibilities: Manage the Crude marketing business and have direct responsibility for ANS marketing. Develop a thorough knowledge of ANS value through an understanding of potential ANS markets, their crude alternatives and values, foreign market alternatives and pricing, shipping cost. Understand the value of purchasing 3rd party North Slope barrels Engage with 3rd party producers, and West Coast and foreign markets to negotiate purchases/sales in order to maximize equity value. Supervise the marine scheduling of crude from Valdez to west Coast and foreign markets. Capture and document all information required for the transactions and through the accounting process. Work to charter foreign vessels as required to complement the ATC time chartered Jones Act vessels Sell to avoid credit losses, avoid Valdez proration of equity barrels, and achieve the highest net-back of sales less transport. Effectively communicate the market fundamentals, alternatives and pricing to mgmt. and the assets teams Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation. Supports company vision and mission. Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
