We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer II, to join a multidisciplinary app development team, where you will work alongside native engineers to build exciting features for our app users on the Listing screen. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to Etsy's goals and growth alongside mobile engineers and partners. You'll work cross functionally with Product, Design and Analytics solving real user problems. This is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.   • Collaborate across Product, Design, Analysts, Researchers, and Engineering to build a dynamic listing screen
  • Set technical direction for your teammates, as a tech lead
  • Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers
  • Prototype, optimize, and deploy large-scale product improvements that deliver key results
  • Run A/B experiments to validate product improvements
  • Confidently communicate technical issues with all vital stakeholders
  • Lead and assist in performing product testing including unit, functional, visual, etc.
  • In collaboration with your team, craft and improve processes that impact Android app development across Etsy
  • At least 5+ years of professional android development experience, ideally in a product-minded environment
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
  • Experience mentoring other engineers
  • Experience working on large applications with many developers or teams
  • Ability to define and tackle unconstrained problems, and know when to seek help
  • Approach engineering from a product perspective
  • Have app(s) published on the App Store
  • Experience in Android debugging practices and tools
  • Proficiency with version control tools (git and GitHub)
  • Passionate about beautiful code and quality development practices
  • Experience with testing (unit tests, functional tests, visual tests) and accessibility frameworks
  • Have a 'leave it better than you found it' mentality
