About The Position

As a Senior Analytical Chemist, you'll be working as part of a cross functional team providing customer, field, and manufacturing support. The successful candidate will utilize Analytical techniques for the purpose of supporting field issues. Responsibilities will include sample preparation, data collection, data interpretation and report writing. Candidate must be able to work independently, organize multiple projects, have good problem-solving skills, and be able to clearly communicate their findings both verbally and through written reports. The role will manage field issues from the assigned business units as their liaison or point of contact. Requirements

  • BS/MS Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with industrial experience with 6-8 years of experience
  • PHD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with industrial experience with 3+ years of experience
  • Microscopy experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or customer development lab environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills especially with customer or customer development teams.
  • Able to communicate effectively to technical and business functions within the commercialization process.
  • Able to write reports, give presentations, and lead discussions.
  • Able to work in a team as a contributor and leader.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who can manage projects with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with advanced data analysis techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of coatings and coatings related materials by multiple techniques including FTIR and microscopy.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Completing customer requests in a timely manner. This includes analyzing samples appropriately and communicating the results verbally and through written reports to customers, peers, and management.
  • Work with business and technical collaborators to understand priorities, solve problems and communicate findings.
  • Deliver high quality results, conclusions, and recommendations.
