About The Position

The Senior Analyst role focuses on AS 400 RPG400 programming, requiring a strong background in mainframe engineering and technology. The position involves optimizing RPGILE programs, documenting data structures, and integrating software with existing systems. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing program performance and making necessary corrections in consultation with clients and technical leads.

Requirements

• 5 - 8 years of experience in AS 400 RPG400 programming.
• Proficiency in DB2 for iSeries, SQL Programming, RPG IV Programming, CL Programming, and DB2/400.

Responsibilities

• Documented data structures, program logic, and any other relevant information.
• Optimized RPGILE programs for efficiency, considering system resources and response times.
• Wrote clean, well-engineered code that is readable, adequately commented, robust, and adheres to standards.
• Developed and tested programming modifications.
• Integrated software with existing systems.
• Analyzed performance of programs and took action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with Client and approval of Technical Lead.
• Created and maintained programming documentation.
