If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply! We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Warehousing candidate in Marysville, OH. This position supports the distribution execution team to ensure Scotts branded products are distributed on time and at the lowest possible cost. Activities will include analysis of warehouse and carrier performance, capacity planning, shipment execution, and inventory analysis. Ensures freedom to operate through the enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures, company policy, all legal/regulatory considerations, and company/regional Safety and Quality procedures. Owns the relationship between the 3PL providers and all Scotts corporate business partners (BDT’s Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales) to promote exceptional service to customers while maintaining efficient distribution operations. Drives operational excellence through standardized KPIs across the network. Drives warehouse effectiveness and efficiency improvements with data based analysis and best practice recommendations. Utilizes Business Warehouse, SAP, SAP EWM, Microsoft Office, the Google Suite and other reporting mechanisms to highlight improvement areas and measure site performance. Maintains oversight responsibility for inventory management and control. Oversees annual physical inventories, cycle counts, audits, evaluates historical inventory data and collaborates with purchasing and finance to maximize service, minimize waste and reduce excess and obsolete inventory. Fosters a team environment and engages providers to drive superior performance. Provides support for warehousing network changes, system installations, new product launches, product transitions, and acquisitions. Provides daily/weekly/monthly distribution and logistics reporting Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations, finance or other related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of distribution/warehouse operations or logistics analytics experience
  • Extensive experience with SAP, SAP EWM, Business Warehouse (or similar reporting software), Tableau and Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to compliance and safety requirements associated with the management of a warehouse operation
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with 3PL provider leadership to help deliver outstanding customer service
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communications, organization, consulting, resource management and technology utilization skills
  • Strong business acumen, with a solid record of leading change and delivering results
  • Flexibility to accommodate 50%+- travel is required based on business need
  • Supply Chain, warehousing or distribution operational experience
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to accept project ownership and accountability
  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally within the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to use written and verbal communication skills to communicate to multiple levels of leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Analytical experience and knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures within a manufacturing CPG company and general knowledge of retail business a plus
  • Familiarity with Tableau a plus
  • Business Warehouse, Business Objects or other data warehouse reporting experience
