The Senior Analyst’s work directly affects rating outcomes, client relationships, and the firm’s reputation. Responsibilities : Act as the primary analyst for housing credits of varying size and complexity, demonstrating expertise in public finance housing sector analysis. Prepare comprehensive analyses for internal rating committee presentations and external publication, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Oversee annual surveillance activities for your assigned portfolio of credits, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery Actively participate in rating committees as a contributing team member, providing well-reasoned analytical perspectives Write rating summaries and analytical reports that synthesize complex analysis into clear, well-supported conclusions demonstrating mastery of S&P methodologies and financial markets understanding Communicate rating results and analysis effectively to diverse stakeholders including clients, financial intermediaries, investors, and media, while publishing timely industry commentaries and thought leadership pieces Compensation/Benefits Information : (This section is only applicable to US candidates): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is USD 100,000 to 122,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree in business, public policy, public administration, or related field preferred) An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2+ years of extensive experience related to Public Finance, with Public Finance Housing sector experience preferred.
