About The Position

As the Senior Analyst - Transportation & Material Handling Equipment, you will support the management of WESCO’s Material Handling Equipment (MHE) fleet to improve safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing equipment acquisition, maintenance, repairs, and replacement planning across all locations. You will ensure teams have the right equipment to operate safely and effectively, maximizing utilization and reducing operating costs. You will also develop clear, actionable reports that guide asset allocation decisions and provide financial insights to improve ROI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred - Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Maintenance), Technical, or equivalent years of education and related experience
  • 3 years of equipment maintenance experience, developing SOW/equipment
  • 2+ years of vendor management experience
  • 2+ years managing and executing projects that require multifunctional alignment
  • Expertise in forklift systems, reach trucks, order pickers, etc.
  • Expertise in developing power Bi dashboards and power automate processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze workflow and processes.
  • Strong process orientation and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with establishing new processes, data analysis and equipment Scope of Work preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluent in reading and writing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support OSHA‑compliant safety reviews and ensure proper training and certification for equipment users.
  • Serve as the primary contact for locations to assess and scope equipment needs based on site infrastructure and operational requirements.
  • Analyze current MHE inventory and maintenance history to recommend equipment utilization, replacements, or upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs; participate in daily management meetings to review performance.
  • Coordinate site visits with Operations and document internal operational requirements for MHE standards.
  • Oversee communication and implementation of equipment changes with vendors and local teams.
  • Partner with equipment management vendors to evaluate inventory condition and identify cost‑effective solutions.
  • Conduct business analysis on fleet performance, including rental vs. lease vs. ownership scenarios, to guide resource allocation.
  • Contribute to productivity initiatives and process standardization across the MHE management function.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on equipment features, industry best practices, and operational improvements.
