About The Position

The Senior Analyst - Supply Chain Contracts is part of Ally Supply Chain (ASC) reports directly to the Manager - ASC Contracting. The Senior Analyst is responsible for contract drafting, negotiation, and execution of Ally's ASC Contracting. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Ally Sourcing teams, business customers, and stakeholders to document and negotiate all aspects of a procurement deal to ensure the best outcome for Ally and mitigate company risk effectively and efficiently. The Senior Analyst meticulously reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions, ensuring favorable outcomes and compliance with legal requirements and policies. Additionally, the Senior Analyst advises internal business customers on innovative approaches to fulfill contractual obligations, staying updated on changes in rules, regulations and industry standards that could impact the provision of services. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Requirements

  • J.D. or paralegal certificate highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain related field and a minimum of 3+ years' experience in contract negotiations.
  • Comfort with risk profiles of a broad range of commodities, including services, marketing, credit bureaus, and technology.
  • Ability to articulate legal risk to business customers and team Analysts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of outsourced vendor agreements, including technology and software agreements.
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and coordinate multiple tasks within time constraints.
  • High degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
  • Experience with process and project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency in PowerPoint and experience creating executive level presentations.

  • Knowledge of supply base and sourcing business practices specific to financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate favorable terms and contracts to secure the best value and reliability for the company.
  • Work closely with legal and other risk departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as company policies and established precedents; ensure contract provisions can be delivered while maximizing the value to Ally.
  • Maintain deep understanding of Ally contracts terms and conditions and key deliverables contained in the contract.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to services contracting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and corporate policies during the procurement process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders within a cross-functional organization to explain contract terms and answer questions about specific contract provisions.
  • Support initiatives to improve processes and templates for ASC Contracting.
  • Develops a strong working relationship with various customers, suppliers, and internal departments, and obtains a thorough functional knowledge of the organization, performance measures, and information flows to help optimize contracting solutions.
  • Be agile and nimble, to effectively cope with and drive change; comfortably assesses risk and problem solve.
