Start your Voyage – Position Summary: Voya Financial is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for the Voya Financial Risk Management Organization. The individual contributor role will primarily focus on performing risk centric quantitative analysis of the Voya Retirement business segment (e.g., EaR, CaR, Stress Scenarios) across GAAP and Statutory frameworks. The position will have other day-to-day responsibilities and work within a team of risk professionals focused on Voya’s Retirement business. This position has in-office requirements. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting range of our Windsor CT office. Position Description: The Senior Risk Analyst will partner with others in executing on the following activities to help leadership proactively manage risks to the Retirement business segment.   • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in actuarial risk management or financial risk analysis within insurance or retirement services.
  • Understanding of Retirement product risks
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting principles and their implications for risk metrics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, actuarial software, and risk modeling tools; experience with stochastic modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with risk appetite frameworks, EaR and CaR risk measures, economic capital concepts, and stress testing governance.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, ORSA) and enterprise risk management practices.
  • Ability to make independent assessments and present thoughtful, risk-based decisions with limited support
  • Proven ability to prioritize assignments and maintain and/or exceed established processing time frames with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business lines and/or departments for continuous improvement opportunities and to develop and implement risk mitigation activities
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply learnings to future situations.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and monitor EaR and CaR metrics quarterly for alignment with enterprise risk appetite.
  • Perform annual stress testing under GAAP and STAT basis, including scenario and sensitivity analyses for interest rate, equity, and credit shocks.
  • Support Economic Capital (EC) modeling and integrate results into enterprise risk reporting.
  • Monitor the performance, risk exposures, and asset-liability matching of the General Account.
  • Provide insights on credit quality, duration gaps, and liquidity risk impacting the General Account.
  • Assist in evaluating financial implications of new retirement products, including pricing assumptions and capital requirements.
  • Perform risk-adjusted profitability analysis and stress scenarios for existing and proposed product designs.
  • Partner with Product Development and Actuarial teams to ensure alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with management of the supported business areas.
  • Prepare reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Risk, Finance, and Investment Management teams to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Monitor compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements (ORSA, NAIC guidelines).
  • Enhance methodologies for EaR/CaR and stress testing to reflect emerging risks and best practices.
  • Contribute to risk governance discussions and committee presentations.
  • Review, and suggest applicable changes for, procedures for business areas directly supported.
  • Support other Risk work as assigned.
