About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Real Estate Advisory at AECOM plays a crucial role in making informed decisions regarding market demand, feasibility, and financial requirements while considering social impact and economic development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Urban and Regional Planning, Real Estate, Business or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in job offered or in a Real Estate Advisory-related occupation.
  • Experience developing cashflow models from scratch in Excel reflecting capital asset investments and returns including public-private partnerships and equity waterfalls.
  • Experience navigating and thriving in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS and other tools including MS Word, Excel, and presentation software.
  • Utilization of economic and real estate data sources including CoStar, municipal open data portals, ESRI Business Analyst, and On The Map.
  • Experience collecting and organizing economic and demographic data from the Census Bureau and other relevant sources.

  • Experience in community engagement and public meeting facilitation.
  • Familiarity with urban planning and zoning regulations.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions about market demand, feasibility, and financial requirements as well as social impact, economic development, and public benefits.
  • Create preliminary plans or concepts for regional and place-based economic development, urban revitalization, real estate, tourism, and culture.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop strategies that respond to the market, attract financing, and enable implementation.
  • Review project design, public policies and regulations, site conditions, mitigation requirements, development and financing costs, phasing, and implementation challenges.
  • Lead discrete technical tasks, including developing and implementing quantitative analytical approaches, conducting data analysis, economic and financial modeling, and writing sections of client deliverables and proposals.
  • Analyze Census Bureau data and research existing land use patterns, zoning regulations, and development trends.
  • Facilitate community engagement processes to gather input from residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
  • Hold public meetings, workshops, and hearings to ensure community perspectives are considered in the planning process.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure coordination and support for land use plans.
  • Create comprehensive land use plans considering population growth, environmental considerations, transportation needs, and community development goals.
  • Assess and recommend changes to zoning ordinances and regulations to align with land use plan goals.
  • Implement and enforce zoning codes to regulate land development.
  • Review and evaluate development proposals and site plans for compliance with zoning regulations and land use plans.
