About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Quality Control Assembly at Whirlpool Corporation is responsible for leading quality efforts in the assembly process to ensure compliance with division metrics and continuous improvement in quality metrics. This role involves developing robust assembly processes, utilizing quality control tools, and managing quality-related projects to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding and practical application of fundamental quality tools for problem solving
  • Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution and team building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical degree, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or CQE certification
  • 10+ years experience in Quality role in a manufacturing environment
  • World Class Manufacturing (WCM), 5 Why, Kaizen, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), background / previous experience
  • Outstanding people skills, with the specific ability to interact as a lead player, apply critical thinking and make decisions
  • Dynamic self-starter with ability to work independently and with cross functional teams
  • Must have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, global team members, and the supply base
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple quality projects with minimum supervision
  • In depth computer skills and PC proficiency Google Apps

Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality effort for the assembly process to meet division metrics (SIR, CAL, FPY, Scrap%).
  • Utilize external and internal indicators by means of the QA Matrix to prioritize, initiate, and drive kaizens to improve quality KPIs.
  • Utilize Quick Response Quality Control tool (includes Gemba, 5Why, 4M, 5QFZD) to solve root causes of emerging internal quality issues.
  • Create, improve, and implement the processes and controls (i.e. Error and Mistake Proof) to continuously improve the Tulsa QA Network.
  • Create, approve, and update control plans and other preventive quality tools.
  • Supervise Product Hold trigger and release management in Finished Goods Warehouse.
  • Manage Early Product Containment program to protect customer through changes to process and product design as well as New Product Introduction.
  • Supervise the Quality process Technicians and First Responders that are assigned to assembly quality.
  • Leadership in QC Pillar as QC Specialist for Man/Method Issues and coach Pillar Team members to drive deep understanding and effective utilization of QC Methods.
