About The Position

At Liberty, our Personal Lines Auto Product team partners across the company to build and roll out auto insurance solutions that keep pace with what customers and agents need. We focus exclusively on auto, bringing deep expertise, data and analytics to deliver strong state-by-state results while modernizing how we price policies and the technology that supports them. We are looking for an Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Product Research to join the Auto Product Design - Coverage & Contracts team. The teams’ role is to fulfill Liberty Mutual’s promise through the development of contract language and customer notices. You will be responsible for owning, maintaining, and assessing compliance of forms and contracts. This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location. The level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion. In this role you will: Manage personal auto product forms and contract initiatives with an understanding of our contract strategy. Complete competitive intelligence research for specific states. Analyze information from various resources to develop recommendations. Independently drive revisions with a focus on quality and customer centricity. Own communication of changes to impacted stakeholders. Research and answer inquiries related to coverages, forms, and contracts from the organization and provide recommendations. Monitor bureau and state activity, evaluating impacts to existing products. Collaborate on achieving approval of filings from regulatory authorities. Take a proactive role in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives. Promote cross-departmental collaboration in order to meet business goals. Innovate and collaborate with other teams to design and develop language for new products and product updates. At the end of your first year a successful candidate will complete all onboarding activities, demonstrate understanding of the forms development process, and independently own and complete projects meeting all target metrics. Requirements

  • Prior experience with interpreting, applying, and drafting insurance policy contracts.
  • Project management experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills; effective team building skills.
  • Prior experience in Claims, Underwriting, and/or Compliance in Insurance or Financial Services industry (at least 3-5 years).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Adobe, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to story board and present business problems, business cases, and solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A Juris Doctor degree or paralegal experience is beneficial.
