About The Position

As a PLO (Project Leadership Office) Project Planner, you will work with cross functional teams and will be responsible for several aspects of multiple projects including scope, time, cost & quality management to ensure a successful project delivery. You will be working with the entire project lifecycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in Consumer/Durable Goods Sector Product Development.
  • 2+ years of project management experience working with cross-functional team projects.
  • 1+ year of experience with scope, time, cost, quality, communications, stakeholder and risk management working on global and/or domestic projects.

Nice To Haves

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) or similar product development & project delivery methodology experience.
  • Whirlpool Project Part Tracker Application (PPTA) or similar product parts & capital tooling tracker system experience.
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) knowledge.
  • SAP / ERP systems experience.
  • MS Office, Google Suite, Excel/Google Sheets Formulas, Charts, Macro/Scripts.
  • Budget management, financial planning and analysis, capital management.
  • People skills to work in cross-functional teams with a can-do attitude and ability to integrate.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects using the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) System / Methodology, for Production Development Projects (PDP) & Advanced Development Projects (ADP).
  • Manage data in multiple systems to report KPIs (Key Project Indicators) monthly, provide component part tracking status, and bridge communication networks between core team members.
  • Drive capital calendar and project expenses planning & execution, providing oversight on spending and monthly outlook status.
  • Tracking of Parts development and production readiness: Part supplier selected, Toolmaker selection, IO (Internal Order) approvals, Tooling PO (Purchase Order), Tooling initiated, Tool execution tracking, Tool release from toolmaker to molder, Tooling delivery to final supplier, Tool trials coordination, Tool arrival date, Drawing releases, Part & Assembly revisions, PPAP for Make and Buy parts.
  • Support development and tracking of project master schedule, including follow-up on execution w/ core-team and extended team members. Manage and ensure company assets are being deployed in accordance with policy and project deliverables.
  • Support project SKUs BOM (Bill of Material) coordination, and prototype build execution. Partner with project build planners.
  • Travel to key manufacturing sites (Ohio, Iowa, and Mexico), especially during project launch periods, is required for this role. Expect 3-5 days per month on average.
