We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior analyst with a passion for supply chain planning solutions, to join our team and drive our digital transformation initiatives. The Senior Analyst, planning solutions is part of a team of innovators responsible for the development, implementation, and management of artificial intelligence and automation technologies that accelerate supply chain planning. These activities enable the rapid expansion of the supply of all Vertex medicines in clinical trials and commercially, from small molecules through to cell and gene therapy medicines. This work is vital to ensure that fast, effective, efficient and compliant supply occurs. The Senior Analyst partners with team members across global supply chain planning to enhance digital capabilities, drive automation, and improve operational efficiency and deliver high value, high speed impact.

Requirements

  • Experience in successfully designing and implementing data and technology solutions in clinical and commercial manufacturing environments and across a manufacturing network.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • A strong commitment to compliance and integrity in systems, processes, and actions, with a deep understanding of the biotech environment.
  • Proficiency in rapidly adopting and implementing emerging technology (e.g. agentic).
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools and strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain or logistics discipline, computer science, IT or relevant equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology, ideally within supply chain or project management domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and initiatives that require collaboration across multiple functional areas.
  • Proven track record of implementing and optimizing digital systems and data flows.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including GxP.
  • Experience with the supply chain processes of small molecule, cell therapy, gene therapy and other modalities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with enabling advanced technologies, such as AI and machine learning, and delivery of data engineering strategies is highly desirable.
  • Advanced certifications in product, agile, software engineering, cloud technologies, or leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing oversight systems to support planning the supply of all Vertex medicines.
  • Ensure effective scale out of deployment through configuration of commercial solutions.
  • Have mastery of the marketplace of commercial products with innovation to where creative solutions can drive Vertex’s needs forward.
  • Collaborate globally to accelerate operational efficiency in supply planning processes internally and externally.
  • Monitor and implement fast moving AI technologies and regulatory trends to design and build system capabilities and maintain compliance with evolving global standards.
  • Execute timely technology/AI/data activity to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and ensure successful delivery to value.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to support business objectives.
