About The Position

The Senior Analyst - Operations Support at Verizon plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of Accounts Payable processes. This position involves working closely with internal customers and external suppliers to resolve issues, streamline policies, and ensure compliance in financial operations. The analyst will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Global Payment Processing, managing system enhancements, and leading projects to improve AP processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in systems design, configuration, testing, and implementations.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Accounts payable and/or general ledger experience.
  • Experience with SAP and/or S4 Hana.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Accounts Payable (AP) systems and staff support of AP processes in all systems utilized by the Global Payment Processing team.
  • Act as overall AP Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Global Payment Processing processes and systems.
  • Resolve escalations and issues related to ERP systems and payment processes.
  • Manage system enhancements, including configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Lead and manage projects and support for large and medium size projects within AP.
  • Coordinate and manage system testing and new initiatives.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable management/staff and other departments in support of time-bound processes.
