About The Position

Role summary: The Senior Analyst, Merchandising Replenishment, plays a critical role in implementing advanced inventory strategies to align with merchandising objectives. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to optimize item-level replenishment and improve processes. About the team: The Omni-Channel Inbound Problem Freight Team focuses on resolving receiving discrepancies at Walmart Distribution Centers. This team identifies and addresses issues such as incorrect items or quantities received, collaborating closely with suppliers, internal partners, and inventory health teams. By analyzing data and troubleshooting root causes, the team works proactively to prevent future occurrences. Their efforts support efficient inventory management and contribute to maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with merchandising strategies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to drive continuous process improvements within this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex supply chain exceptions through root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination, implementing preventive action plans to reduce recurrence and improve flow.
  • Improve category results via data-driven, bottom-up inventory plans; ensure seasonal flow meets demand and ROI targets to improve accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives; use analytics to influence decisions and model inventory against supplier capability.
  • Deliver performance reporting: metrics, objectives, and operational/financial insights for stakeholders.
  • Support stores by triaging correspondence and remedy tickets, diagnosing root causes, spotting patterns, and updating forecasts.
  • Execute item-level replenishment for medium-complexity categories: modular timing, item attributes, adds/deletes, and exceptions.
  • Standardize work through SOPs, training, tracking methods, and automated alerts.
