About The Position

Walmart Connect is Walmart’s rapidly growing advertising platform, aiming to help brands engage with consumers across its omnichannel ecosystem by connecting them more meaningfully through impactful advertising solutions. Leveraging Walmart’s data and scale, the platform provides measurable results for its partners. Lightbox Creative Solutions (LBCS) within Walmart Connect is dedicated to transforming retail media by delivering innovative and creative marketing campaigns for top global brands, producing insights-driven, on-brand creative executions that create memorable experiences and drive impact for advertisers. This role is for a collaborative and detail-oriented Designer to join the Lightbox Creative Solutions team. Reporting to the Art Director, the Designer will support the creation and execution of omnichannel marketing and advertising campaigns for Walmart Connect or its advertisers. The focus will be on producing high-quality visual work across digital, social, mobile, in-store, and event channels, while contributing to concept development under direction. The Designer will work closely with copywriters, strategists, and cross-functional partners to bring ideas to life, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards and are executed with precision. This position is ideal for a developing designer eager to grow conceptual skills and build strong executional craft in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Design experience, preferably in an in-house agency, advertising agency, or retail media environment.
  • College degree: BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, or related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals and execution across digital channels.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word); familiarity with Figma required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related area OR 2 years' experience in business or related area.

  • Motion skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate creative briefs and direction into effective visual designs across a variety of formats and channels.
  • Support concept development by contributing design ideas and explorations under the guidance of the Art Director and senior team members.
  • Execute design work for campaigns across digital, mobile, social, in-store and event platforms with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and other creatives to produce cohesive, integrated campaign work.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple assignments, ensuring timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refine designs based on feedback, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail.
  • Apply Walmart brand guidelines and advertiser brand standards consistently across all work.
  • Prepare files for delivery, ensuring quality, accuracy, and production readiness.
  • Stay current on current design trends, tools, retail marketing and consumer behavior to continuously improve output.
