Outputs of analysis will include preparation of reporting materials such as asset allocation, evaluating performance of existing managers, preparation of cash balances and interaction with custodian. Howard University Investment Office is responsible for the management of the Endowment/Investment Pool and the Retirement Trust totaling an aggregated AUM over $1.6 billion in accordance with Board of Trustee approved investment policy and asset allocation. The growth in Endowment supports these efforts and the Retirement Trust funding ratio is the highest in its recent history. Senior Investment analyst will be supportive of the Chief Investment and Deputy Chief Investment Officer primarily accountable for ongoing performance analysis, documentation, and reporting activities of the Investment Office related to the selection, monitoring and oversight of the Endowment's external investment managers. This role is heavily involved in the office's data collection and retention process. In addition to working closely with members of the investment team, this role will interact with other University departments and external entities including the Endowment's investment managers and administrators, custodian bank, and auditors. The Senior Investment Operations Analyst will be responsible for producing high quality work, including material that is readily presentable to constituencies inside and outside of the Investment Office. NATURE AND SCOPE: The investment portfolio invests in diversified asset classes including domestic and international equities, domestic and global bonds, Inflation Hedging and Alternative strategies such as hedge funds, private equity and real assets. The Endowment and Retirement Funds uses external investment managers through commingled vehicles, separate accounts, trusts and limited partnerships. Manager selection, diligence and asset class assumptions accomplished with assistance of consultants and other partners.
