About The Position
Crowned Grace International is recruiting a Senior Analyst for the Veterans Administration (VA), with experience in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Senior Analyst performs advanced FOIA processing functions with minimal oversight and provides subject matter guidance to the FOIA team. This role conducts complex reviews, applies exemptions with expert-level accuracy, mentors junior and mid-level staff, and supports quality assurance efforts. The Senior Analyst ensures consistency, identifies potential risks or harm, and contributes to the overall effectiveness and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Meets or exceeds all intermediate FOIA KSAs
- Minimum of three (3) years of FOIA request processing within the last 48 months.
- Expert application of FOIA exemptions, DOJ guidance, and FOIA legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and guide staff to correct processing discrepancies.
- Ability to perform thorough reviews and identify potential harm to ensure accurate and compliant releases.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Serves as a role model by upholding VA values and promoting high standards of performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOJ reporting requirements and proper submission procedures
- A successful background check and drug screen is required
Nice To Haves
- FOIA-related training and familiarity with basic FOIA exemptions. (Additional FOIA experience may substitute for FOIA training.)
