About The Position
Delta Air Lines is seeking a Senior Analyst to assist with accounting and the monthly close process. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of GAAP and how it is applied to accounting processes. They will understand control processes, work directly with internal and external auditors to provide requested information and support, and be able to assist with and perform annual risk assessments. The role involves preparing accounting entries through the use of data models and research in the SAP financial system, performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, general ledger research, and variance analysis. Additionally, the candidate will review and document controls and accounting processes, while seeking out opportunities to automate, increase efficiency, and streamline existing processes. They will also review and summarize contracts, leases, and other legal documents, and facilitate internal and external reporting processes including monthly preparation and quality control of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), internal reporting packages, and 10Q/10K disclosures.
