About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis at Mastercard plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Supply Chain finance team by providing financial planning and analysis expertise. This position involves managing the financial close process, developing budgets and forecasts, and delivering insights to drive business performance. The analyst will work closely with finance leaders and business owners to analyze variances, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic planning efforts through robust financial analytics.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in financial roles with advanced knowledge and experience in financial planning and management.
  • Good knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and experience with financial systems/applications (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success in a team environment.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with urgency and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities of different nature in a condensed timeframe.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills.
  • High intellect with good commercial acumen and a creative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial close process through the analysis of variances against budget, forecasts, and prior year actuals.
  • Review and provide thoughtful business-driven commentary to finance leaders and business owners.
  • Develop the annual plan, budget and monthly forecast / O&Rs.
  • Create and maintain standardized financials that will help drive and support the business.
  • Identify and communicate risks & opportunities and review and respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis.
  • Drive Mastercard strategic plans by providing relevant financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders.
  • Develop periodic and ad-hoc financial insights for business partners.
  • Execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modeling.
  • Leverage automation to create more efficient methods of delivering insights to business stakeholders.
