About The Position

As a Senior Analyst, Federal Tax Operations, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the preparation and review of Fortive’s Federal income tax filings and US tax provision. This role requires an understanding of domestic tax concepts, exceptional analytical skills, and effective collaboration across teams. You should also be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Additional responsibilities may include: Research and document relevant tax laws and related tax positions. Support internal teams through subject matter expertise and training. Support Fortive’s M&A and tax planning activities including due diligence, acquisition integration, and technical analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology and automation solutions Support our State Operations teams on strategic cross-functional projects and workstreams. Support special projects and initiatives as assigned. Be encouraged to develop your continuous improvement skills within the Fortive Business System

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting
  • 3+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience in corporate income tax
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (4 days a week in office)
  • Results-oriented, technically curious, and values effective collaboration
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Foundational understanding of US tax principles

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Taxation and/or CPA preferred
  • Basic understanding of State and US International tax concepts
  • Experience with Corptax software
  • Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, and similar automation tools
  • High level of demonstrated proficiency with MSFT Office Suite
