This role spends approximately 65% of time applying analytics and data science to drive actionable business insights and 35% of time supporting revenue management functions (pricing, forecasting, deployment, and performance analysis). This individual will act as a bridge between business and data, translating commercial questions into analytical solutions and ensuring insights are practical, measurable, and adopted by stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of data science, business intelligence, or revenue management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g. statisics, data science, revenue management)
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills with a business mindset
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as: Python or R SQL BI and Data visualization (e.g. Power Bi, Tableau, etc)
  • Understanding of database structure and data management
  • Understanding of pricing, forecasting, and demand management concepts
  • Strong organization, technical aptitude, management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in clear, actionable terms

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Cruise, Travel, Hospitality, or transportation industry strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and exploratory data analysis to business problems
  • Develop analytical models, dashboards, and tools to support revenue optimization
  • Implement and validate KPIs and measures on the centralized data model and semantic layer
  • Support validation and UAT of new data pipelines
  • Automate recurring analyses and reporting to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Validate data quality and ensure analytical outputs align with business reality
  • Communicate insights clearly through visualizations and executiveready summaries
  • Improve documentation and knowledge transfer for analytics consumers
  • Provide business intelligence through dashboards
  • Be an analytics partner for Accounting and Revenue translating business questions into analytical requirements and ensuring outputs align with approved definitions
  • Support pricing, yield, and deployment decisions across itineraries, sailings, and cabin categories
  • Analyze booking trends, pickup, load factors, and revenue performance
  • Assist in demand forecasting, scenario analysis, and whatif modeling
  • Partner with commercial teams, as needed for to drive tactical and strategic decisions
