The Center for Customer Insight (CCI) is a center of excellence for all things related to customer research and insight-driven strategy at BCG. As a Senior Analyst (SA) for CCI's Vantage team, you will play a critical role in helping customer insights projects succeed. As a customer researcher with deep experience in syndicated / big data, you will triangulate insights from multiple data sources and methodologies to uncover forward-thinking, high-impact insights for BCG clients. You will contribute to the expansion and commercialization of CCI's portfolio of 'insights infusion' offerings, i.e., products and tools that fuel BCG's client work with high-impact, external insight. These may include syndicated customer data, digital/social/search analytics or other big data sources, cultural insights, consumer foresight, and beyond. You will act as a connector between these 'insights infusion' products and BCG case teams, educating colleagues about how they bring value to strategic engagements, guiding appropriate solution use, and taking an active role in developing a roadmap for these products and tools. You will deploy these tools directly on BCG client cases, customizing applications based on client context / objectives and weaving Insights together with those derived from primary / custom quant and qual research. In addition, you'll contribute to IP development, go-to-market enablement, and knowledge dissemination regarding these 'insights infusions' offerings across BCG's commercial network. You will partner with topic leaders and knowledge experts to sharpen CCI's research-driven products and position them as must-have enablers on top client priorities.

  • Leverage large-scale data sources to generate strategic insights for business use.
  • Synthesize insights from multiple data types into compelling commercial narratives.
  • Guide colleagues on when and how to use different research sources/tools based on objectives.
  • Support the design, piloting, and rollout of new research/insight products.
  • Communicate with case teams and stakeholders in a credible and confident way.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic, often virtual.
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience including the use of syndicated customer data and/or 'big data' / behavioral data OR 3+ years market research agency experience (4-6+ years of experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong familiarity with secondary, syndicated, and/or digital data sources.
  • Solid foundation in primary research methodology (quantitative and/or qualitative).
  • Demonstrated experience translating data into strategic implications and commercial opportunity.
  • Prior exposure to sectors such as CPG, Retail, Tech, Media, Financial Services, or Travel & Leisure preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in marketing, behavioral science, analytics, or related fields a plus.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with data tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, SPSS, Q, R.
