This position is for Senior Analyst, Commodity Management and Sourcing. This role will have a strong focus on cost and strategy projects related to commodities and sourcing. This role will contribute to overall business sourcing goals. This role may be responsible for negotiating and administering contracts and analyzing price proposals to enhance price, quality, timing and reliability of supply.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Candidate must have supply chain or similar field experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, and executes Supply Chain projects relating to cost and strategic improvements within supply chain
  • Participates and contributes to annual goal planning initiatives
  • Contributes to sourcing goals and overall roadmap metrics
  • Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information
  • Evaluates vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
  • Helps develop a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.
  • Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies.
  • Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.
  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.
  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed Collins requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.
  • Analyzes supplier data and price proposals to ensure acceptable pricing, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
