Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics to join our US Surgical Vision team. This position is based out of our Irvine, CA office on a hybrid schedule. Purpose: The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in translating insights into growth strategies for our US Surgical Vision team. This role will be a close analytics partner for our sales and sales operations teams and will ensure data-based decisions in these areas. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or similar field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years in analytical experience is required.
  • Proven ability to synthesize and interpret data into meaningful recommendations is required.
  • Experience working with data transformation, analytics and visualization software (Sales Force, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, SAP, Dataiku, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) is required.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills are required.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation skills, are required.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and delivery on tight deadlines/timelines.
  • Ability to solve problems and exercise independent judgment is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Med Device and/or healthcare sector experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Channel and Key Account Dashboards: Partner with Corporate Accounts and Sales to harmonize data structures and design, automate, and deploy interactive dashboards and web applications that deliver insights to both internal stakeholders and strategic customers.
  • Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning: Build predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., pricing elasticity, churn risk, demand forecasting, or customer segmentation) to identify growth opportunities and optimize sales strategies. Translate model outputs into business actions through intuitive tools and visualizations.
  • Pricing Analytics: Partner with Sales Leadership and Contracting teams to design pricing performance dashboards, margin tracking tools, and scenario simulations, providing insights that shape the future pricing strategy.
  • Offer Development Analysis: Develop scenario analysis to support offer development for key customers and track performance of results vs. expectations.
  • Generative AI Applications: Lead the design, prototyping, and implementation of Large Language Model applications that enhance commercial decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Sales Force Analytics: Partner with sales leadership to develop analytics to support the sales force and their interactions with our customers to drive results.
  • Data Productization & Automation: Build automated data pipelines, APIs, and reusable analytics components within Dataiku, Python, Databricks and SQL to ensure scalability, reproducibility, and operational excellence.
  • Ad Hoc Strategic Analysis: Lead advanced analytics projects under the direction of the Senior Manager to support business reviews, strategic planning, and leadership requests.
