This position supports the business/group leader in the effective implementation, maintenance, and administration of first line of defense (1st LOD) programs, including operational risk, AML, compliance, and regulatory programs. The role involves overseeing business operations within the jurisdiction to ensure adherence and efficiency, and contributing to a strong risk management culture through collaboration with other first line employees and second & third line functions. The Senior Analyst will ensure Compliance, AML, or operational risks are identified, mitigated, monitored, and reported on an ongoing basis. The role supports a single business unit with corresponding regulators, implements risk management programs/frameworks, and executes strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key activities include building relationships, ensuring stakeholder alignment, gathering data for reports and dashboards, and leading or participating in change management activities. The position also involves monitoring adherence to processes, developing and maintaining business/group procedures, supporting sustainment strategies, tracking exception/exemption requests, and promoting a culture of risk identification and management. The Senior Analyst will manage 1st LOD programs in compliance with second line of defense groups, interpret and provide advice on regulatory requirements, and develop an understanding of business strategies to identify and manage risk exposures. Responsibilities also include identifying, investigating, analyzing, documenting, and mitigating program risks, analyzing program effectiveness, recommending adjustments to policies, supporting audits, and assisting in the development and delivery of training programs. The role requires creative thinking, problem-solving, and working mostly independently.
