About The Position

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG's Public Sector Practice Area you will work in a growing global team, providing industry/functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues. You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise. Specifically, in this role you will be asked to do the following, among other duties: Conduct data pulls and perform analysis from both publicly available and proprietary data sources, including but not limited to IPEDS and U.S. Census Conduct research across different education segments (early childhood, K-12, higher education) on major topics (e.g., student experience and pathways, impact of GenAI, affordability, macro trends around enrollment, etc.) Handle a large portfolio of knowledge capture and material curation to catalog education credentials, codify casework into vignettes, capture and frequently update value, and contribute to major IP initiatives as needed (such as external publications, white papers, internal assets and tools, etc.) Assist case teams and stakeholders with business development, including proposal support that draws on credentials and past perspectives and approaches You will join our Social Affairs team within our Public Sector Practice Area and focus on Education + Employment, where we partner with clients across the full learning and workforce journey to unlock human potential and strengthen economic mobility. We work with a diverse set of public and private stakeholders--including foundations, state and local agencies, charter management organizations, school systems, institutions of higher education, workforce intermediaries, and employers--to design and implement strategies that maximize human capital. Requirements

  • 2+ years of consulting experience in education, higher education, workforce development, and/or economic development required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches across the education to employment pipeline
  • Communicating with case teams and stakeholders, in a credible and confident way
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things (including new ways of working and integrating AI into daily tasks), and able to propose innovative ideas
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity by proactively identifying and driving high-value activities with minimal supervision and entrepreneurial attitude
