The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Business Solutions: This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual within the RTX Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance team. Requirements

  • This role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field and at least 2 years of experience in Accounting or gained in a corporate accounting or finance setting
  • At least 2 years’ experience with and familiarity of US GAAP practices and regulations to include experience with preparation of monthly journal entries, closing activities and accounting reconciliations.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and recommend comprehensive solution
  • Ability to obtain RTX sponsored security clearance.
  • This position requires access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP and OneStream
  • Prior experience with disbursement processes and month end close procedures.
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly journal entries, closing activities and accounting reconciliations.
  • Provide general accounting support for the PWMIL F-135 International entities managed by the ES accounting team.
  • Provide yearly statutory audit support for the PWMIL F-135 International entities.
  • Submit invoices for approval and prepare voucher packages for disbursements to vendors
  • Review, verify and approve documentation provided by a third-party accounting service provider
  • Drive process improvements across entities and work closely with other Business Unit leads to create value for RTX by eliminating waste and increasing efficiency.
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Services organization by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department and team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Collins, Pratt & Whitney, and/or Corporate accounts, including answering questions and responding to ad hoc requests as required.
