PAID TRAINING AND COMPANY VEHICLE PROVIDED! Branch Location: Madison, MS Territory typically spans a 1.5-hour radius and includes Madison County, Hinds County, Rankin County, and beyond. Summary: As a Senior Alarm Systems Technician, you will lead the installation of complex commercial security solutions across a defined territory across central Mississippi. This role is primarily focused on commercial systems including wired and wireless systems, access control, and video surveillance systems, with some exposure to residential installations as well. Senior technicians at Vector bring strong troubleshooting skills to the job site, work with minimal supervision, and play an important role in mentoring entry-level and Level 1 technicians while sharing technical knowledge to strengthen the team. Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on field experience installing and servicing security alarm systems – required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent – required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history – required
  • Demonstrated experience with complex alarm systems including wired and wireless alarms – required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-first mindset; you will be the face of Vector Security on every call

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and video surveillance experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with CCTV and DMP access control – preferred
  • NICET Fire Level 1 certification is a plus; if you don’t have it yet, we’ll help you get there through our paid certification program!
  • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation of complex commercial security systems including wired and wireless systems, with minimal supervision
  • Run and terminate wiring in a concealed and professional manner across job sites
  • Troubleshoot complex system and network issues and perform basic system integration as needed
  • Configure system functionality and demonstrate operation to customers; answer questions and represent Vector Security professionally on every job site
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site throughout the installation and service process
  • Apply strong troubleshooting logic to resolve issues efficiently and move work to completion
  • Support residential installations as needed alongside your primary commercial workload
  • Review work performed by entry-level and Level 1 technicians on shared job sites and provide guidance or correction as needed
  • Mentor junior technicians on standard installation procedures, system packages, and best practices
